I Hate Public Speaking
The point of the video "I Hate Public Speaking" is to show that lots of people get nervous about giving speeches. I know that there are a lot of people, including me, that get really freaked out by it, even though they know that it really isn't a big deal. They even point out that it doesn't matter that the person knows there's no reason to be so anxious when speaking in front of a group. I think that the video is just trying to show how ridiculous it is to worry about the kind of things that usually would run through a persons head during a speech. When the singer sang something along the lines of being the only one with the problem, they're really trying to tell people that they aren't the only one with the problem. I really do think that they are just trying to help people get over the general anxiety that comes along with public speaking.

Whale

Lastly, I chose this picture of a cute whale to describe me. I really like whales, especially the little cheese crackers. I also like pandas. I'm using this to show that I'm almost a normal person. There are a few little things that tie band, guard, and physics all together in order make it me. Sometimes I feel like multiple people trying to decide on one person to be, but that just makes me sound crazy. The first me likes whales just as much as the next, right? The little things that I like are what really make me who I am.

Physics

Another thing about me is that I am in physics. I hate physics about like I hate the snare drum. It's really difficult. This is my second year of AP Physics and I'm really hoping that I can pass the AP test so I don't have to take physics in college. Even with my hatred of the class, I really do like physics. It's probably my only non-artistic interest. My favorite day to watch television is Sunday because that's when they play shows related to space and time on the Science channel. There was a time when I wanted to be a medical physicist, but then I realized I like music much better than physics. I'm still very interested in physics, and that's why it's another way to describe me.

Colorguard
Another way to describe myself right now is with color guard. I started out last year in winter guard and I really love it. There are a lot of awesome people that I've met because of it. Unfortunately, it's one of those things that I'll have to give up after high school, but for now, it's something I enjoy. My color guard coach changed my name to Kelly so that I could be in guard as Kelly and in band as Kyla. It's really tough to explain and was really confusing when I wore my winter guard hoodie to band class. I've definitely made a lot of memories in guard.(picture from www.colorguardcentral.com)
Piano
First, I have chosen a picture of a piano. This describes me because it is the first instrument I learned to play. I have been playing piano since September 18, 2008 and wrote my first composition for piano this May. It is what led me to pick up other instruments, like cello and percussion. I probably wouldn't have tried to play piano if my best friend didn't start playing around the same time. She's a lot better at piano than I am, but I concentrate more on percussion. If I never played piano, my life would be completely different. I wouldn't play music at all and I wouldn't have found something that I am passionate about.

This picture is of the main entrance to Auschwitz where there is a gate sporting it's motto "Arbeit macht frei" or "Work makes one free." This makes me remember when Elie and his father arrived at this camp and the irony of another sign saying "Danger of death." I think of the irony that these things had. They were always in danger of death and were most certainly not free. Many people died in this camp and these signs were almost ridiculing their lives there.
