That title is annoying isn't it? Yes. Yes it is.
Yesterday was cello day. Every Tuesday is cello day. Actually, no, everyday is cello day now. I got the cello book yesterday. My teacher doesn't think it will take me long to get through the first book. This is because I can already read sheet music, know the finger positions, and have a natural sense of pitch. I'm really excited about that, because it is a very good skill for a strings musician.
Does that make me sound conceited?
I only joke about being conceited... I'm just really excited about this. It seems I fell in love with the perfect musical instrument for me. One of these days I'll have to pick up violin. ^_^
I need to see about getting my class schedule changed so that I can take piano again next semester. It's my favorite class. Obviously. The only way that class would be better is if it were an entire class period devoted to cello. Since I don't see that happening anytime soon around here, that makes it the best class ever. We have a final exam in piano next week though. We have to play in front of the class something from the book. I guess I'll be playing the Hungarian Rhapsody #2. Then I'll have to sight read something from the first book. Which shouldn't be too difficult, since I've already learned everything in the first book.
